Save the Date cards are a good way of ensuring all guests reserve your wedding date well in advance to make sure all your friends and family can share your special day with you. To make these fabulous Save the Date Cards simply follow the steps below.

You will need

Useful tools

1. Cut a piece of paper from the Designer Mat Pad to measure 6cm x 6cm.

2. Pierce two holes in the paper using the end of a craft knife. The holes should be positioned 2cm from the left side of your paper, 2 cm apart.

3. Push a small brad through a Prima flower and then through the first hole in your paper. Holding the flower and brad in place, turn over your paper and open out the ‘wings’ of the brad at the back. Repeat for the other hole.

4. Using the pink pen, doodle a small heart in each corner. You may wish to practice your doodles on a scrap piece of paper first until you get a shape you’re happy with.

5. Using the green pen, draw dots and dashes around the outside edge of the paper between your doodled hearts. Finish by adding doodled greenery around your flower embellishments.

6. Apply double sided sticky tape to the back of your finished topper and attach it to a small square white card blank.

7. The insert for the card can be typed on a computer and printed. This can be attached to the card using a strip of double sided sticky tape.

Co-Ordinated Stationery

This design can be adapted very easily for the rest of your wedding stationery. For the place card cut a piece of paper slightly smaller than the front of your card and embellish with a single flower and brad. Use your pink and green pens to doodle as before. The Order of the Day cards, invitations and menus are created in exactly the same way, using larger pieces of paper and more flowers for the menus.

The K & Co Designer Mat Pad contains co-ordinating papers in different designs and colours, allowing you to create a set of stationery items that harmonize perfectly yet each one looks like you’ve made it especially for the recipient. The Papermania Pastel Sparkle Mini Brads are also different colours, making it easy for you to match the colours to the paper designs.
