Daffodil Circle Card- By Vera Moore
Level: intermediate / advanced Time: 30 minutes
You Will Need…
Toolbox Essentials…
1. Take a piece of the floral border paper from the Colossal Paper Pack and cut out a line of flowers using your craft knife and cutting mat or small, sharp scissors. Apply a vertical line of adhesive down the centre of the inside of the card blank. Cut an 11cm square of floral border paper, trim around the daffodils on the outside edge and stick this centrally inside your card.
2. Use the black ink pad to stamp the daffodil image onto an 8cm square of white card. Gently sprinkle over the embossing powder, ensuring every part of the stamped image is covered, and tap to remove the excess. Apply a gentle heat using a heat tool until the powder melts and becomes glossy. Cut around the stamped image and glue it onto the daffodil panel.
3. Stamp and emboss the daffodil image onto floral border paper and cut out the large daffodil and the circle before sticking onto the stamped panel from step 2. Repeat using a piece of blue chick paper, ensuring the orange flower is in the centre of your stamped image. Cut out the centre of the large daffodil only and stick it onto your layered daffodil.
4. Cut a circle aperture in the front of the card using the Fiskars Shape Cutter set. Be sure to measure and mark your circle first if you want it to be perfectly central! Cut another line of flowers from the floral border paper and stick it to the left of your circle, as shown.
5. To finish your card, use a green brush marker to colour a ‘Best Wishes’ peel off sticker before removing it from the backing sheet and sticking it onto your card as shown.
For more information on heat embossing, please see our guide ‘How to Use Rubber Stamps’ in the Ideas Section.
Unfortunately we have now sold out of the Marie Curie Daffodil stamps, however if you have already brought your stamp please use this project for inspiration! Alternatively, please purchase a different Easter stamp or floral stamp to create this card.
