Wooden Mounted Rubber Stamps
These traditional stamps are favoured by many rubber stampers as they are so easy and comfortable to use. Wood-mounted rubber stamps consist of a piece of rubber with the raised image of the design which is adhered to a piece of foam, which cushions the stamp as you press down. The foam layer is then adhered to a wooden block. To help with placement of your stamped image, there is a picture of the design on the back of the stamp which roughly correlates with the position of the raised image underneath.
Steady Press Stamps
It is important not to 'rock' the stamp as you press down. Just press down evenly over the stamp to produce a clear image. These stamps can be used with ink pads of any size; you don't need a large ink pad for a large stamp. Just dab the pad around the raised surface until you have inked the whole image.
