This butterfly border embossing stencil has two butterlies and 4 small flowers on it. Each butterfly measures approximately 25mm (wing to wing) and there is also a dashed line across the stencil to give the illusion that the butterflies are flying.
Easy Use Brass Stencils
Brass stencils are used for dry embossing. There are lots of different designs to choose from and most can be mixed to produce your own unique embossed picture. Dry embossing is an easy way to add a flourish to plain paper or cardstock. Simply tape the stencil to a light box or well lit window, stick your paper or light cardstock face down over the stencil using low tack sticky tape and run your embossing stylus around the edge of the gaps in the stencil. You don't need to press very hard, nor do you need to rub over the middle of the gaps, just the edges. Once you have embossed the whole image (or as much as you want to) carefully remove the sticky tape - then simply turn over the paper or cardstock to reveal your embossed image.
