Buttons
Buttons are usually made of plastic and come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, from round buttons with two or four holes in the middle to cars, flowers and stars. Some have the shank (the small plastic 'loop' at the back - traditionally used for sewing the button onto a garment) removed already, so the button will lie flat on the paper or card. Others still have a shank and this can easily be removed by snipping either side.
Glue Sticking Buttons
Buttons can be adhered to scrapbook pages and cards using glue dots or double-sided tape. They can also be tied on with ribbon or fixed with 3D foam pads for a raised effect.
